Your First Painted Models :D

Well people have been asking me tips etc for painting models etc, and as much advice i can give the best 2 pieces i can give are;

1. Have fun and enjoy the painting

2. Practice :)

Now i've been painting for about 6 years and many of you have seen some of my models now, so just to put things into perspective this is what i started from:

Note the patchy paint job, rough blending, lack of detailing and the mold line on the horn ! boy i needed help back then. So I think anyone can paint they just need to take the time and keep painting. ^^ Anyway others should show their first paint jobs and compare with some of their later stuff.

And these days i can paint like this:

So paint lots, show people your stuff and get constructive criticism or just an ego-stroking ^^ it's all helpful and gives others new and interesting ideas too.

If I remember correctly this was my FIRST miniature painted back around March this year~ :) I only had 3 colors and 1 wash.

New

Now I can see an improvement :) but still have a long way to go~ XD

Well ... cameras did not exist when I painted my first model :p

Jokes aside, I did not keep the mini, but it was a Ral Partha Skeleton Warrior in chainmail, wielding a broadsword, painted with (or should I say dipped in) Heller enamel paints. That was in 1984...
